Thousands of customers all over the world from farm to cup use our software products to make better coffee.As a Frontend Developer, you join a team of experienced developers striving to deliver the best possible user experience for our customers. We use Ember.js, React and TypeScript in the frontend with a fully automated CI/CD pipeline to test, bundle and ship our code.You will work closely with peers, product managers, designers, and backend developers on services that power the specialty coffee industry. We collaborate closely across departments and we acknowledge learning from each other regardless of position or experience. This role provides ample room to grow not only as an expert in your field but also as a person.We have offices in Innsbruck and Vienna, and also offer remote work (EU-based) for this role.<h2>What you'll do</h2><ul><li>Work directly with product managers, designers, and developers in a small, cross-functional team, on our web-based platform for specialty coffee producers, roasters, and cafes.</li><li>Build client code that is fast, testable, and high-quality.</li><li>Iterate quickly based on user feedback.</li><li>Take over cycle tasks and solve real-world problems for our customers.</li><li>Maintain and improve our existing code base to deliver the best experience possible for a worldwide audience.</li><li>Have ownership over parts of the product.</li><li>Learn about the specialty coffee industry and have an impact on the livelihoods of tens of thousands of coffee producers!</li></ul>Our technology stack<ul><li>The frontend is written in JavaScript and TypeScript.</li><li>We use Ember.js and React.</li><li>Our CI/CD pipeline is fully automated.</li><li>We use JSON:API.</li></ul><h2>We are looking for someone with</h2><ul><li>A degree in Computer Science or related fields or a proven track record in developing non-trivial applications.</li><li>3+ years of working experience as a software developer using modern, object-oriented programming languages.</li><li>A deep knowledge and passion for software development with a modern JavaScript framework like Ember.js, React, Vue, or AngularJS.</li><li>Understanding of a software development and delivery process and related technologies like Git, CI/CD pipelines, testing, bundling, containerization, and deployment.</li><li>A passion for solving real-world problems and writing reusable code that lasts for years, not months.</li><li>Ability to discuss with your teammates from product management, design, and development.</li><li>A strong command of written and spoken English.</li><li>Experience working remotely (for remote applicants).</li></ul><h2>That said, we’d be particularly delighted to hire someone with</h2><ul><li>Experience with TypeScript.</li><li>Experience with Progressive Web Apps.</li><li>Practical knowledge of agile methodologies and code reviews.</li></ul>At this point, Cropster will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in Austria for this opening.
