The Supply Chain team is looking to solve the following problems:<ul><li>What insights can we give developers about their images and build processes?</li><li>How can developers keep their software dependencies up to date and secure?</li><li>What data can we put at developers' fingertips to supercharge their daily work?</li><li>How can developers build on expertise and pre-existing solutions within their organization?</li></ul> To solve these problems, the Supply Chain team experiments on various features using data for delivery, iterating quickly on prototypes inside Docker Desktop, Docker Hub, and a new cross-registry initiative. We’re centered around a large data plane with integrations to container registries and source control systems. We use this data to provide developers with insights and new functionality. <h3>Who we’re looking for</h3>As a Frontend Engineer, you will propose, prototype and deliver features to solve the above problems. You’re someone who enjoys collaborating with UX designers to design and build user journeys, and working with backend developers to agree API specifications. You will be constantly seeking ways to improve development practices to ensure we maintain a high level of quality with a fast pace of delivery. The Accounts team ensures seamless and secure user and organization management across Docker and Docker Hub.
As a Frontend Engineer, you will propose, prototype, and eventually publish tools and features to solve problems, such as:

<li>How can we improve management and observability for organizations within Docker products?</li>
<li>How can we offer a more personalized and rich user experience and profile?</li>
<li>How can we enhance authentication and authorization within the Docker accounts?</li>

You will collaborate with UX designers and engineers to design user journeys and API specifications, using tools like Slack, Zoom, Miro, and Notion. You will be constantly seeking ways to improve development practices to ensure we maintain a high level of quality with a fast pace of delivery. You will help foster an uplifting environment with collaboration and innovation. Finally, you should be passionate about how developers' lives could be made easier, and about Docker's role in that.
Responsibilities:
Lead or contribute to new features that enhance the user experience and capabilities in Docker Hub and Docker Desktop
Work within a cross-functional delivery team of 5+ software engineers, with an embedded data engineer, product manager, designer, and technical writer
Write, review, maintain, and document Go/Golang and JavaScript/TypeScript code (and a little Python)
Write unit, integration, and e2e tests
Deploy code to production, and own the product throughout the lifecycle
Demonstrate open collaboration across teams and take ownership of supporting the internal engineering needs of the team
Participate in 12-hour daytime on-call shifts for one week every 2-6 months, with additional pay
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>3+ years experience building SaaS applications</li>
<li>1+ years with React, preferably with static typing (TypeScript, Flow)</li>
<li>1+ years with a C-based backend language a plus</li>
<li>Knowledge of security best practices</li>
<li>Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred, or GCP, Azure), databases (Postgres preferred, or MySQL, etc.) a plus</li>
