Overview:

We are the market leading provider of data monitoring software that is predominantly hosted on premise / private cloud basis for our mainly UK based customers. We plan to offer a fully managed SaaS option to our customers by H2 2023 and are looking for a Technical Architect with experience of migrating customer side installations to a secure, hosted SaaS solution (Microsoft stack). The role includes design of the SaaS capability and running and managing a Proof of Concept.

Required Experience:

Recent experience of leading the design and migration of on-premise enterprise software applications to a target SaaS architecture on a Microsoft stack (Azure, .NET Core, IIS, SQL )
Selecting 3rd party hosting partners
Full design of the solution architecture working with a small, highly capable team
Online security for enterprise cloud hosted applications
Project Management and team leadership skills
Building great relationships with our existing engineering team and our customers

Scope:

The successful candidate would join our team as soon as possible on a 6-month contract to take the project from now until the successful conclusion of a proof of concept in Q1 involving preferred hosting partner(s) and selected customers(s) to prove connectivity, security, and performance of the application in a fully hosted environment.

Deliverables:

Produce a high-level architecture and specification for a fully hosted SaaS solution using a Microsoft stack that :

Meets our clients and our internal needs and
Which enables us to select the best 3rd party hosting organisation for our business

Assess customer feedback from initial discovery sessions
Work closely with our Senior Technical Architect to define any changes required at application level to support the solution.
Produce a shortlist of 3 hosting partners for selection
Plan and lead the proof of concept
Document and transfer knowledge to our existing team
Support Process - Advice on the best way to support the application in the cloud
Produce and run a comprehensive test plan during the proof of concept.
Iterate and finalise solution as required to meet our needs for a production service.

Location:

Remote, UK hours but with time onsite at our central London offices as required.

Rate:

£650 - £700 per day depending on prior experience.
