About The Role
Equitable’ s digital platform is our strategic enabler to offer innovative solutions that challenge the status quo in banking. As an Agular Developer we are looking for someone who has the technical ability to implement user interfaces using JavaScript and the Angular framework. You will need to know the best practices and modern ways of creating interfaces and ensure the interface is able to interact with backend APIs. You will also need to have great communication and collaboration skills as you will need to interact with fellow frontend and backend developers regularly to ensure components can be integrated together.
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Design and develop user interfaces using Angular best practices and latest front-end technologies</li>
<li>Write JavaScript, CSS, and HTML</li>
<li>Make complex technical and design decisions for Angular projects</li>
<li>Develop application codes and unit tests in Angular, Java Technologies, and Rest Web Services.</li>
<li>Integrate with Restful APIs</li>
<li>Ensure high performance of applications and provide support.</li>
</ul>
Must Have
<ul>
<li>Minimum 4 years’ experience in the financial services industry and good knowledge of retail digital products</li>
<li>Top Javascript coding proficiency</li>
<li>Proficient in CSS, HTML, and writing cross-browser compatible code</li>
<li>Knowledge of JavaScript MV-VM/MVC frameworks including Angular</li>
<li>Banking domain knowledge – a plus</li>
<li>Experience with Services Oriented Architecture and RESTful Architecture, web services</li>
<li>Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical degree or equivalent experience is required</li>
<li>Familiar with Atlassian tools, including JIRA workflow</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills</li>
<li>Experience working in a highly collaborative and customer-centric environment</li>
<li>Nice-to-have:</li>
<li>Experience or familiarity with Open APIs, Technical Product Management, MicroService / Enterprise Service Bus architecture, cloud IaaS / PaaS, and mobile platforms</li>
