We are expanding our beautiful practices throughout New York and California, offering telehealth and also clinic-based services.<h4>About the Role</h4>Octave is looking for a senior frontend engineer (6 or more years of experience) to help us develop the systems and tools needed to support clients seeking care, providers offering care, and the operational team and infrastructure to support the two. We are a small but growing team who work remotely, using Next.js, React, TypeScript, GraphQL and CSS to bring everything together.<ul><li>System architect- Have a good sense of the overall architecture of our systems and solid understanding of how to design complex software.&nbsp;</li><li>Project planner. Getting as much productive work done in parallel as possible. Gather input from the experts on your team. Start identifying priorities.</li><li>Software developer and team leader. Continue writing code (at least 30% of your time). Communicate with the product manager. Delegate work.</li></ul><h4>About You</h4><h4>Must have:</h4><ul><li>Strong experience in developing and deploying with React.</li><li>Proficient Knowledge of CSS.</li><li>Strong experience with modern web technologies (such as JSON, HTTP2, WebSockets,&nbsp; HTML, JavaScript and TypeScript)</li><li>Experience consuming modern APIs.&nbsp;</li><li>A preference for writing quality code with automated testing and leaving the code base better than how you found it.</li><li>Experience with continuously delivery and troubleshooting production code.</li><li>Comfortable communicating with engineers, clinical, and operations staff to solve open-ended problems.</li><li>Interest in doing mission-oriented work especially in the healthcare space.</li><li>Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or anytime in the future.</li></ul><h4>Nice to have:</h4><ul><li>Experience with GraphQL</li><li>Experience working with healthcare, healthcare technology, and clinical staff, or other regulated industries</li></ul>“Nice to have” really means “nice to have”. It’s completely possible that you don’t have any of these and are still a great fit for the team.Starting pay for qualified applicants will depend on a combination of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands.
