TELUS Agriculture we work on building next generation farm management and analytics software. In this role, you will be working on a team that is responsible for developing application software that the end-user will be interacting with. You will be solving real-world problems that the agriculture industry faces daily and working on features such as Satellite Imagery, Field
Equipment Data, Scouting Analytics, and more. Our software manages over 100 million acres of agricultural land worldwide and is backed by a team of more than 1,200 experts. At TELUS Agriculture, we empower our engineers to form their own opinions and advocate for the solutions that fit best.
Here's how:
● Design, develop, test and maintain web applications
● Deliver fully functional, responsive web applications, developed according to quality standards
● Analyze, design, implement and integrate functional requirements into new/existing solutions
● Work closely with analysts, designers, and other team members to achieve project &amp; organizational objectives
● Produce detailed specifications and write program codes that perform efficiently
● Test product in controlled, real situations before going live
● Deliver fully tested source code complying with code quality standards
● Maintenance and troubleshooting of systems once they are up and running
What you bring to the role
The candidates should have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
● 2+ year's Angular experience (We can train you in Angular)
● Solid understanding of OOP concepts and design patterns
● API design, implementation and integration
● Version control systems (Git, SVN, etc.)
● Test-driven development (Jest or similar)
● Agile/SCRUM methodology
● Self-motivated and able to work independently and as a team member

Here’s how
Agrian is looking for an experienced front-end developer to help us build out our next generation of products. We’re writing an ambitious front end that’s built around modern Ember.js and written in TypeScript. We pride ourselves on being up to date in best practices in coding, testing, and deployment strategies.
You’ll work directly with Product Management, User Experience, engineering and quality engineering in a company that takes pride in quickly delivering groundbreaking solutions to its clients. You can find out more about our technology stack at this talk given at EmberConf 2020.
The position is 100% remote but will work Pacific Time 8 am – 5 pm.
What you bring to this role:
<ul>
<li>Extensive JavaScript experience with a focus on building large, complex single page applications</li>
<li>Proficient in at least one modern JavaScript framework such as Ember (preferred), Svelte, Angular, or Vue</li>
<li>Able to debug and optimize cross-browser and platform web applications (for desktop and mobile)</li>
<li>Experience with Node based CLI tools, JS build tools and automated testing frameworks (QUnit, Mocha, Jasmine, etc.)</li>
<li>Comfortable with Git/version control workflows</li>
</ul>
NICE TO HAVES:
<ol>
<li>Ability to bring custom and responsive designs to life using technologies like PostCSS, Sass or Less, and frameworks like Tailwind or Bootstrap.</li>
<li>Knowledge and passion for design and UX principles of web and mobile interfaces</li>
<li>Experience with TypeScript (preferred) or Flow</li>
<li>Experience with OpenLayers, Leaflet or other web mapping tools</li>
<li>Experience with D3, Vega, or other visualization libraries</li>
<li>Experience with Ruby on Rails</li>
