About the Company

Our client are a fast growing startup who have grown their headcount from 3 to 70 in 2 years and have quickly dominated their industry. Think Amazon, but a marketplace for healthcare and pharmaceuticals where suppliers and buyers meet. They curate personalised dashboards for their customers powered by data-driven analytics and AI to assess risk, maximise product margins and optimise processes.

The Role & Project

Senior Software Engineers in this team are responsible for one functional area, from product conception to delivery to customers. You’ll spend your time brainstorming and coding independent tech components related to your functional areas.

In your first 6 months you’ll develop a deep understanding of non-functional requirements like reliability, availability, scalability etc to make key technical decisions. You’ll contribute to shaping internal engineering processes, advocating for best practices and mentoring junior engineers.

So how do they measure success? For them success isn’t having a large number of customers, it’s about delivering exceptional value to a smaller number of customers. You’ll have access to highly experienced founders, for both technical and non-technical aspects.

Why You Should Apply

Startups have a reputation for being disordered, stressful and require a lot of overtime. Thats not the case with this company, they specifically ensure no one is working outside of their normal hours, even if there’s a release on Monday you should not be working on the weekend. They don’t micromanage, if you get your work done in a few hours you don’t have to fill the rest of your day to look like you’re doing something.

If you need a further example of how wellbeing is a priority, a new employee needed to work reduced hours for 2 months for personal reasons, this was immediately approved and they are still being paid in full.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be a part of a progressive company who encourage ownership to all, not just those in leadership.
