Our engineering team is looking for a lead web3 engineer. This person will be responsible for creating the next generation of real web3 platforms. Responsibilities include not only design and implementation but also leading a team of highly capable web3 engineers. The ideal candidate is strong technically, has led teams in the past, has shipped web3 apps, and has a passion for empowering a new generation of creators to work together and prosper.Task & Responsibilities Development:

  • You’ll play a lead role in the creation of a large scale platform.  Being fluent with both web2 and web3 development is a must.
  • Defining and implementing a scalable, structured, and modular code base will set the necessary foundation for future projects.
  • We want to reach the broadest possible set of creators by meeting them where they are. Being able to integrate with multiple blockchains will be a key to our success.
  • Implementing business intelligence capabilities (analytics) and other technical diagnostics (crash reporting, logging, etc) is vital for product health and maintenance.
  • The ability to rapidly prototype, validate concepts, and effectively communicate trade-offs around features, products, and implementation paths to inform the decision-making process will be vital.
  • We have multiple in-house and external organizations with which you’ll be in partnership. Being able to collaborate with different groups (product, creative, other engineering teams) is key to success.
    • Leadership
      • Being a core pillar to the engineering organization, you’ll need to be able to play a role in hiring, lead multiple engineers, collaborate with peer leads, and manage expectations upwards.
      • Your thought leadership on web3 application development best practices, software, and tools will help keep the team up to speed and current.
        • Qualifications
          • A degree holder in Computer Science, a related discipline, or experience to offset this.
          • 5+ years professional engineering experience, ideally in games & entertainment vertical.
          • 4+ years of web2 development experience
          • 2+ years of web3 development experience
          • Having publicly-viewable web3 applications and being able to step through your implementation considerations will be required.
          • Participation in the general web3 ecosystem is important.  Do you own any NFTs or coins?
          • Experience as a technical leader where you were responsible for the performance of an engineering team.
          • Mastery of web development using JavaScript, Typescript, React, Redux, and NodeJS is highly preferred.  Alternative frameworks could also be considered where appropriate.
          • Experience with web-based 3d and 2d gamerendering technologies (e.g. three.js, pixi.js, etc.) is a plus.
          • Experience working with technical artists and 3d artists and the creative pipeline in general.
          • Experience with agile project management processes
          • Experienced and comfortable with remote team dynamics, process, and tools (Slack, Zoom, etc.)
