CircleIn is the 3D platform and tool for modern creators. With a focus on customizable and intuitive design features at a fraction of the cost. We make it seamless for digital creators to build and share virtual experiences. CircleIn provides a Software-as-a-Service solution to help 3D artists, creators, and brands build, customize virtual spaces and showcase their products online in 3D.

Founded by Asif Agha and Vinson Wang, we are seeking one of the first software engineers to join our team to help build and lead the development of our platform along side our current dev team.

About you and the position:

CircleIn is a startup, so we’d like you to be entrepreneurial, agile, deeply motivated, and goal-oriented. We’re looking for a person with strong initiative, technical and professional leadership, and the desire to push boundaries consistently.

We are laying down the foundation of an ambitious, fast-growing, and well-funded startup. This could be an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to grow with us and become a senior team member and leader. Given the position you’ll be filling, we expect you to have at least 2+ years of relevant postgraduate academic or professional experience (although we’re open to less experience if you’re exceptionally talented).

The right candidate’s position comes with an equity package commensurate with experience and the expected leadership level.

We are looking for one of the first engineers to join our team. In the next 12 months, you will:

• Architect and lead the development of our web client that can work smoothly on commodity devices.

• Work with technologies such as WebGL and game engines.

• Developing our SaaS product - CircleIn virtual spaces tools / 3D viewer / 3D configurator.

• Work primarily in 3D web technology such as Three.js TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, Next.js, React, LitElement, GraphQL, WebSocket and Webpack.

• Building / Maintaining our asset-pipeline tools that help our API to convert from “3D to data” and “data to 3D”.

• Collaborate directly with the founder and CEO, designers, developers, and project managers.

• Pro-active thinking with strong initiative, and the ability to explore new trends and technology within the 3D / VR / AR space, so we constantly improve and innovate.

• Produce efficient and robust code with good documentation.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and agile startup environment

• Strong communication and presentation skills

Skills & Experience:

Experience leading engineering project(s).Experience in building web apps or games using 3D rendering technologies.Experience in 3D maths, real-time communication, computer graphics (e.g., modelling/ texturing/ optimization/ lighting.techniques/ shaders) and Rhino / blender is a plus.Expereince in 3D files pipeline glTF / glb / USDZ.Experience in Serverless Stack / AWS / npmjs / Seed.run is a plus.Startup experience is a plus.

We are currently located in London, UK and are also very open to remote collaborations. We are interested in establishing long-term relationships on this project with continuous development and going to market.
