Full-Stack Shopify Developer (remote + flexible)

MilkRun's Product team is looking for an experienced Shopify Plus full-stack developer to help design, develop, and manage builds to our storefront website as well as internal tooling. This could include building geo-personalized functionality across our customer-facing site, improved subscription management flow, and developing private Shopify apps and custom app integrations for operational tooling.
If you're passionate about truly user-centered design, love to be part of the conversation of what we build and the why and how, and can quickly translate a user frustration into clean and robust code solutions - let's talk!
Remote, full-time, long-term is ideal, though we're open to project-based, and most of the company is between UTC-8 and UTC-3.

MilkRun Mission:

MilkRun is a re-imagining of farm-to-you food distribution. What if a grocery store existed solely online and delivered you radically local groceries harvested, baked, and butchered to order? What if we gave more money back to farmers, to our community? What if we could skip the overhead of a grocery store? What if we made it easy for you to get exactly the quality of food you want, right to your door? All of that would mean less cold storage, less trucks, less middlemen, and more power for the community — both farmers and shoppers. That’s why we’re changing the future of food distribution here at MilkRun.

We're looking for someone highly experience with:
  • HTML5, CSS3, responsive web design
  • Liquid and working with Shopify themes
  • Javascript
  • Shopify APIs (Admin, Ajax) and working with open APIs
Experience with the following would be great:
  • CSS tooling (Bootstrap, SCSS, BEM)
  • Working with ReCharge's theme engine (Prima) and APIs
  • ReactJS, or another front-end JS library
  • Ruby, Rails
  • GitHub, and associated versioning tooling and practices
  • ThemeKit
Understanding of/interest in the following would be an added bonus:
  • eCommerce and business operations systems integrations (marketing, helpdesk, fulfillment, logistics, analytics, finance, etc.)

You'll be working directly with our small product team, on the immediate project of our storefront and customer portal overhaul. Beyond designing and developing, moving forward, you'll have the opportunity to help shape and scope the longterm strategy for MilkRun's products.
Please note: Shopify experience is crucial for this project, so we'll want to see examples of Shopify theme and app development work you've been a part of. Subscription-based stores integrated with ReCharge would be an added bonus.
