ReactJS / Redux / C# Twitter Devs

Market EarlyBird|26 Finsbury Square, London, EC2A 1DS

EarlyBird is the leading Twitter service for professional financial users - in fact we totally own this category. We detect and extract financially-relavant Twitter data, spot velocity and engagement changes, and use natural language processing, translation and lots of in-house developed secret sauce to gain a rich understanding of what is going on in the markets on Twitter.

We deliver this insight and thousands of curated financial Twitter feeds through a series of rich web-clients to global investment banks, buy-side firms, and hedge funds. We're integrated into trading platforms, financial desktops and messaging platforms. We're the Twitter service in the half-million user Symphony secure messaging platform. We're an enterprise partner of Twitter, we have tens of thousands of users in dozens of global financial institutions, and there's still less than 10 of us in the company.

We're now expanding into a new market. We need to bring on further developers at pace to strengthen our team across both front and back end systems.

Our stack is reactJS and Redux at the front, with a Microsoft Azure / C# / SQL / Redis infrastructure behind it.

We're looking for developers with experience across some, or ideally all, of this stack. Above all we need real expertise and flair, building imaginitive, creative solutions to challenging problems, spotting opportunities to improve our product suite, and go the extra mile to deliver an exceptional product that our customers love.

Although we are wholly finance-based as a company, we don't expect you to have any finance or markets experience. But you're likely to gain quite a bit of knowledge of those markets if you work with us. You can make a real difference to an exciting product and gain a great start in the lucrative financial services industry.

It's a fast-moving, product-driven development environment where we don't necesarily do everything the way the text books tell you. So flexibility, ingenuity, problem solving ability, and an eye for great product design will go down well.  If you need everything spelt out to the last semi-colon, or if you shrug your shoulders because we forgot to tell you every test case, you're probably not right for us.

We have a base in Finsbury Square in the City of London but currently we all work at home. The plan is shortly to all be in the office one or two days a week - that's flexible but ideally you'll be close enough to London to be part of the team.

We're probably going to take on half a dozen developers so if you cover some part of that stack and fit the bill in terms of the culture here, do get in touch.

Salary is of course related to experience and fit for the role. Let us know your salary expectations please and why you're suitable, and as well as your CV please describe where across that stack your strongest skills lie.

We're a friendly team, it's a really interesting product, sorry we haven't got a table tennis table.

I look forward to working with you soon,

Founder and CEO
