Finstro provides Trade and Payment solutions in the B2B space between Suppliers and Buyers. We’ve approved over $1 billion in Trade Payments for thousands of SMBs. As an established leader in Australia and new entrant to the U.S., we’re looking to grow our Front-end Web engineering leadership. The right candidate will love writing beautiful and responsive web front-ends that our end-users find a joy to use.

The majority of our web development teams are located in the Philippines and Vietnam. This position is open to working the following locations:

In-office in Sydney, Australia with occasional travel to Manila
Full-remote Australia with occasional travel to Manila
In-office in Manila with relocation and work visa sponsorship for expats

Roles/Responsibilities:

Lead our Web Front-end Software Engineering teams that are located across Philippines and Vietnam
Spend 50% or more of your time writing the core infrastructure code for our web front-ends in AngularJS
Work closely with the UX design team in designing and creating UI’s that work well across multiple web platforms for U.S., Australian and European markets

Requirements:

10+ years experience developing web applications using HTML, CSS and JavaScript (or TypeScript) for multiple devices
5+ years experience using AngularJS, React or Vue
Easily able to translate designs and wireframes into high quality code and validate the technical feasibility of UX/UI designs
Expert at optimizing the bundling size, initial paint time, error handling, and performance tweaking
Has built Progressive Web Apps (PWA) and used IndexedDB, Service Workers
Expert using Web App build tool chains (WebPack, etc.)
Expert and multiple deployment technologies for Web applications, usage of CDN’s, and Cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud)
Able to comfortably write SQL and use Linux
Participate in projects than span multiple teams from requirements to production in a fast-paced environment
Experienced with Feature Flag development and/or A/B Testing
BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
