About The Job:

We’re looking for a Back End Developer to jump on board and help us achieve our ambitious growth goals. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a passionate team and have a big impact on the entire organisation and the experience of cord users.

You will join the Tech Team, which focuses on defining, developing and iterating cord’s product offering for startups and developers. As a Back End Developer, you will work closely with the Product team to build and test new amazing features. You’ll also work on improving and maintaining current features. 

In 2022, you will be working with us on three main areas: deepening product features, enhancing technical aspects and improving the product performance. 

Role activities and responsibilities:

  • Effectively contribute to cord with the development of new and innovative features

  • Work on cord's core API services

  • Write tested and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices (where applicable)

  • Contribute to the improvement of integration and internal tools.

  • Maintain existing features

Essential skills and experience:

  • Excellent understanding of JavaScript

  • Good understanding of Node.js and SQL

  • Good understanding of SQL and Git

  • Knowledge of unit testing, functional testing

  • Knowledge of modern web services and APIs

  • Basic knowledge of networking and cloud computing

“Nice to have” but not essential (ordered list):

  • Experience with TypeScript

  • Experience with PostgreSQL

  • Experience with JavaScript testing frameworks like  Mocha and Chai

  • Experience with AWS

  • Experience with Python

  • CI/CD experience

  • Bachelor/Masters Degree in Software Engineering or similar

  • Experience with data analysis / ML

  • Experience with ELK

  • Salary: £30,000-£50,000k. We'll happily pay slightly over or under
