1. Job purpose
ASICS is currently aiming to rapidly transform and modernize internal technology stack. As part of the initiative, the company is establishing a dedicated team that focuses on cloud and serverless technology to provide in-house solution development.
In this role, you will be part of the team responsible for designing, developing, deploying and maintaining cloud native and serverless solutions that leverages AWS cloud service offerings like Lambda, Api Gateway, Step Functions etc.
You will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions and product features to fulfill business requirements as well as create PoC to quickly align expectations. You will work closely together with other team members to brainstorm and discuss solutions and implementations and support business requirements and release schedule. We are looking for ambitious candidates who enjoy working in an international environment and contribute to the growth of our business. 2. Position in the organization
Reports to the Team Manager of Cloud Enterprise Solutions, Digital Supply Chain Department

3. Result fields
　•　Design and implement cloud-based solutions to support new business requirements.
　•　Assist in the development of prototypes or tools and utilities to provide short term solutions to immediate needs as required.
　•　Manage existing workloads and implement change requests and feature enhancements.
　•　Implement Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation.
　•　Implement application deployment, CI/CD and rollbacks mechanisms. Work to consistently deploy systems across environments to production (i.e., development to QA to staging to production)
　•　Implement Automated Tests (Unit and Integration) as part of CI/CD
　•　Setup monitoring and alerts to detect service outages or degradation.
　•　Implement application/performance monitoring. Collect metrics and establish service level baselines for production systems.
　•　Respond to outages, troubleshoot and resolve system related issues.
　•　Keep up with service updates from AWS and incorporate new features as necessary.
　•　Suggest enhancements and escalate concerns appropriately to diagnose and remediate underlying system problems and inefficiencies
　•　Review and influence new and evolving designs, architectures, standards, and methods for operating services and systems
　•　Document design decisions and solution architectures and participate in design reviews

4. Representation and cooperation
　•　Initiates collaboration within the team to lead and support the design and realization of cloud-based architecture and solutions.
　•　Interact with business and other IT teams to provide expert guidance on developing new products within an AWS environment.

5. Job Requirements
　•　Knowledge and experience
　　•　3 or more years of software development and programming experience (Proficiency in at least one of JavaScript, Python, Java).
　　•　2 or more years of designing and implementing serverless solutions using AWS services including Lambda, Api Gateway, Cognito, DynamoDB, Fargate, Step Functions, App Sync, SQS, SNS, SAM etc.

　•　Nice to have
　　•　Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any relevant disciplines
　　•　Knowledge of writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation
　　•　Experience with monitoring solutions such as CloudWatch, Xray etc.
　　•　Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines using AWS stack.
　　•　Experience in implementing ETL. Batch and Long running tasks in AWS.
　　•　Good command of written and spoken English and Japanese

6. Location
This position will initially be located in the Tokyo or Kobe area.
