Constructiv is an early stage startup based in Falmouth (Cornwall, UK). We are looking for an experienced full stack developer to join and lead the next phase of technology development. This is a remote role with occasional trips to Falmouth required. Equity on offer.

Job description

Constructiv is an on-demand staffing platform for the construction industry. By harnessing technology, we are aiming to transform recruitment in the construction industry. We are creating a community led staffing platform with the mission to improve the working environment for the 1 million tradespeople who work in the UK. Our focus is to provide workers the best opportunity to access work with ease and help them reach their career goals.

The recruitment model in construction outdated and broken. Workers are mis-sold employment opportunities. Bad candidate behaviors such as lack of reliability are common and there is little repercussion due to the demand. We’re taking a different approach.

We are aiming to rebuild trust within the construction recruitment process by embedding accountability and transparency. We are making it easier for construction workers to find great job opportunities and showcase their skills.

We have been operating on a small scale basis since launching in 2021 and working with a handful of construction clients. We’ve been busy in the background developing our technology driven staffing platform and have helped hundreds of people find great opportunities.

Role

Constructiv has an unique opportunity for a full stack developer to join our team and make a huge impact on product development before we launch the company nationally. You will be leading the technology development with the aim to build your own team as the company grows.

As well as leading the development, you will be informing the strategic direction of product development to ensure they align with the business goals.

Initially, you will be involved with software development and managing sub-contractors. As the company expands it will evolve into hiring and managing your own team.

We are an ambitious company and we are looking for someone to help drive our growth. Reporting directly to the founder, you will need to be highly organised, process driven and always looking to do more with less.
