Front End Developer

We are looking for an enthusiastic Front End Developer with a passion for all things tech; driving an improved user experience, focusing on user needs and working in a collaborative, agile environment. You will:

  • Be a good communicator and responsible for working with architects and developers in other teams to ensure working software end-to-end

  • Be responsible for highlighting and reducing technical debt

  • Be responsible for the design, development, documentation and testing of responsive, accessible, secure and standards-driven web pages / services that meet the needs of users

  • Stay abreast of tech and development trends and technologies

As such, you should:

  • Be proficient with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS/SASS and JavaScript/Typescript

  • Knowledge/Experience of a JavaScript framework, such as Angular, Vue, React or Node.

  • Be an active and avid problem solver, working creatively and analytically to meet user needs and solve complex problems

  • Have experience working with RESTful APIs.

  • Be comfortable working with Git, pipelines and deployment (Jenkins/Bitbucket/Azure etc).

  • Have experience writing unit tests and working with testing frameworks like Jasmine/Karma/Jest

  • Be an active and avid problem solver, working creatively and analytically to meet user needs and solve complex problems

  • Be a collaborative person capable of working within an agile environment. We use SCRUM.

  • Have experience working with automation technologies across build, deployment and testing

  • Any experience working with back-end coding languages i.e. Java or Ruby/Rails would be a major plus but not essential
