Scalable to billions of transactions and flexible to manage a number of unique data sources, NMS holistically examines scenarios across multiple venues and asset classes.

We are currently looking for a Front End Developer to join our NMS Core Development team here in Sydney. In this role, you will design, develop, and support the Insight web application, a new addition to the NMS product offering.

What You Will Do

  • Defines and reviews systems software design requirements

  • Codes, tests, debugs, implements and maintains software solutions

  • Supports, develops, tests, debugs and implements operating systems components, software tools and utilities

  • Modifies existing internal software products to add new functions, adapt to new hardware, improve performance or enhance product usability

  • Uses profiling tools to optimise and improve performance

  • Ensures that applications are compatible across multiple computing platforms and browsers

  • Mentors others in the team on implementing system improvements, challenging the team to improve efficiency wherever possible and to apply current industry trends

  • Provides a deep domain and industry experience and expertise to design and develop creative solutions

  • Provides technology trends and competitive landscape expertise and makes technology decisions to drive opportunities and competitive advantage for our clients

What We Expect

  • Degree qualified in a field related to Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience

  • At least 5 years front end development experience in ReactJS, especially on enterprise-level website projects

  • In depth knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front end languages

  • Extensive knowledge in ReactJS, Webpack, Redux with commercial projects in production

  • Proficiency in REST endpoints and APIs, OpenAPI / Swagger specification and WebSocket

  • Practical knowledge of JIRA, Git, Linux and browser-based debugging and performance testing software

  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Works well independently or with a team, including within agile scrum team

  • Ability to mentor other team members

What Would Be Helpful

  • Experience with additional JavaScript frameworks such as D3.js, rc-dock, Material UI, GraphQL, Taiko and/or Java middleware

Our work arrangement is hybrid. You will be coming in to the office just 2 days per week.
