THE ROLE

We are looking for a JavaScript/TypeScript team lead responsible for building web applications. Your primary responsibilities will be to design and develop these applications. As a team lead you will be expected to mentor and assist rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Would have prior experience in the same or similar role, be dedicated to a collaborative and egalitarian process, and express their care about the user’s experience by producing quality, testable software.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Familiarity in Node.js, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems

  • Excellent with the React, Redux Toolkit (RTK Query), Hooks, TypeScript ecosystem

  • Experience writing scalable modular CSS/SASS for large applications with inter-dependency

  • Strong understanding of client-side programming

  • Experience in writing reusable NPM packages

  • Familiar with various design and architectural patterns (e.g. container pattern, unidirectional flow, immutability)

  • Experience with Service Orientated Architecture and consuming web services.

  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript

  • Knack for writing clean, readable code

  • Understanding the fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

  • Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests (Jest, React Testing Library, Cyprus)

  • Proficient understanding of source control/code versioning tools such as GIT

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

  • Knowledge of Micro Frontends such as Module Federation or Single Spa

  • Knowledge of API mocking using MSW (Mock Service Worker)

  • Knowledge of component libraries such as Ant D or Material UI

  • Knowledge of Advertising / Marketing / Media business

  • Experience working with teams across multiple physical locations

  • Experience configuring webpack

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Writing and testing software

  • Assessing requirements and helping refine stories to prepare them for estimation

  • Reviewing pull requests and mentoring developers

  • Engaging with stakeholders to hydrate the backlog with user requirements

  • Actively participating in communities of practice

  • Scheduling and engaging in one on ones with team members
