Your role at ZEISS Digital Partners

You will play a crucial role in expanding ZEISS Digital Partners unit and actively contributing to the success of the digital transformation at ZEISS. In this challenging function you will be part of an agile, interdisciplinary team of frontend, backend and full-stack software engineers, UI / UX designers and product owners, which enables the co-ideation and development of customer-centric digital products.

You will be working with state-of-the-art tech stack, mainly based on JavaScript (TypeScript, React.js), integrating REST and GraphQL APIs, and creating high-quality UI components based on customer feedback as well as improving existing features together with your teammates. With your knowledge and experience, you will also be contributing to further improvements in our development processes and shaping best practices within the team.

To build up our Digital Customer Interaction, Digital Customer Journey team, we are seeking the Frontend Software Engineer to be based in Munich, Germany. We offer a hybrid option to work partly remote with expectation of 2-3 office days per week.

Your profile

• at least 3 years of professional experience in a similar position, where you built a solid background in agile software engineering environment

• excellent skills in modern JavaScript (i.e. ES6 or later)

• experience in at least one modern JavaScript-based frontend framework (e.g. React.js) and tools (e.g. Redux, Webpack, Babel, etc.)

• solid understanding of REST architecture, micro-frontend architecture, common SE design patterns

• experience with unit / UI testing is a plus

• a passion for great work, eagerness to develop visual and dynamic interface experiences that are elegant and easy to use

• ability to understand business requirements, collaborate with UI / UX designers and translate the requirements into a high-quality digital product
