• About the Role: BuyProperly is looking for a full stack developer to take our product to the next level. You will be part of a cross-functional team that is responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. You should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries.

Besides gaining a solid understanding of our end-to-end technical architecture, you will get hands on experience on cutting-edge initiatives that we are working on - Building an AI enabled price determination model (both predictive and prescriptive) and building an online secondary marketplace from scratch for real estate transactions (like a stock exchange trading software).

• Responsible for developing the tech architecture of the platform
• Driving the enhancement of our current tech stack spanning the backend and frontend development
• Execute initial design and development of new software or perform extensive software revisions to existing code base
• Troubleshoot, test, maintain and support the core product software and databases to ensure functionality
• Assist internal team in addressing enhancement requests and issues from customers. Investigate and fix defects
• Develop and stake ownership over some core features
• Ensure the quality of the product through code reviews and a high level of unit and functional test coverage
• Write technical/system documentation
• Highlight any potential risks to the leads and seek inputs to resolve identified issues
• Write appropriate code comments to properly explain and document features being implemented or modified
• Available to explain, debug and support implemented software as necessary
• Other development tasks as required from time-to-time

Required Competencies

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
• 3+ years experience in full-stack development
• Strong, software design and coding skills
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented design and programming
• Understanding of web components including HTML, CSS, Angular, Typescript/Javascript, Node.js, React
• Knowledge of database systems and database structure design using PostgreSQL
• Understanding of working with Cloud-based deployments
• Ability to work independently and solve technical problems with little supervision
• Strong communication & collaboration skills
