TikTok Creation and Consumption Product team is responsible for exploring and building new, fun, and innovative content creation and consumption experience on TikTok. Our goal is to inspire creativity, increase content mobility, and entertain our users with diverse informative contents. Our members are working on exciting product areas such as photo mode, text mode, audio mode, long form videos, web creation, content cross language translation, and Q&A etc. We are a full-stack team that is working at the intersection of product and engineering. You will be able to design, implement, and ship new product experiences that will deliver fun and joy to millions of TikTok users.

As a Full Stack Software Engineer on our Creation and Consumption Product team, you will:

1. Work closely with product managers and designers to deliver state of the art user experience in the above products mentioned;

2. Build world-class products, which combine usability, accessibility, elegance, performance, and maintainability;

3. Adopt automated and manual test strategies to ensure product quality;

4. Learn and understand how TikTok product works and help build end-to-end solutions;

5. Learn and grow from working with great colleagues and taking on challenges;

6. Help our team grow from your expertise, experience, and perspectives.

Qualifications

1. BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related major

2. Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms, proficient in at least one coding language, including but not limited to Javascript, Typescript, Go, Java, Dart, C++;

3. Curiosity towards new technology and outstanding ability to analyze and solve problems;

4. Good grasp of software engineering and how to build a system in scalable and extensive manner;

5. Understanding of component-based development ideas, familiarity with React, Angular, Vue.js, or any other equivalent library / framework is a plus;

6. Understanding of concurrency, database, and message queue is a plus.

Job Information:

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $126000 - $304704 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
