Solve Finance is an independent debt advisor transforming an industry built on lead-generation and hidden-cost business models. We aren't your typical “fintech” company: we’re building a debt roboadvisor that works on behalf of users, not lenders. We are building a debt marketplace and borrowing hub in alignment with our users’ savings goals.

We are seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to guide technical decision-making and help build our product to scale. In this role, you will have the chance to contribute to the design and build on all levels of our architecture. Our current stack is all Javascript (Jamstack with React on the front to Node on the back) We leverage Firebase and Google Cloud Platform infrastructure to keep everything humming and we take every opportunity to integrate a DevOps philosophy into what we do.

• 5+ years of experience in modern programming languages, with a preference for JF/Node
• 3+ years of experience contributing to architecture and design of software systems
• Experience with scaling out reliable technical architecture
• Experience with web applications and React.js
• Experience building and maintaining production software systems
• Team-focused attitude and good communication skills

Bonus:

• Startup mindset, ownership, and well-practiced at balancing quality with urgency
• Experience building API products
• Experience with infrastructure scripting languages such as Terraform
• Experience with cloud environments, especially GCP
• Experience with Firebase
