About The Role:

Do you have a passion for building products to help businesses achieve their goals, with data and analytics at their core? Do you thrive on building great products with tools such as JavaScript (Next.js, React) and Python? Are you an all-rounder who likes variety? 

We are on a journey to build our innovative sustainability platform and are looking for an intermediate-level full stack software developer. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced agile environment, have at least 3-5 years of experience across the software development lifecycle. UX/UI design and QA testing experience is beneficial. 

Reporting to the Senior Developer, you will be provided a platform to express your ideas, design, and develop products in a collaborative environment. 

You will be responsible for: 

• Working with the Data Insight product team on the requirements, design, and development of our Footprint sustainability platform

• Big picture and creative thinking on product ideas and design. Problem solving to overcome technical challenges in the product development process

• Ongoing expansion of the codebase, developed in a structured and reusable way

• Evaluating and advising on improvements in technologies being used within Data Insight

What you will bring to this role:

• Experience with full stack JavaScript libraries (Next.js, Node) and front-end libraries (React).   

• Other development experience (Python), Azure cloud infrastructure, and experience building and consuming Web APIs (REST, GraphQL). 

• Experience with Agile and Test-Driven development 

• A love of working in a collaborative environment and bouncing ideas around 

• You’ll need to be someone who takes ownership and pride in playing a crucial role in client outcomes and have proven ability to focus on completing projects autonomously.  

• A tertiary qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar 

• Working with clients or stakeholders to develop, demo, and implement products 

• Passionate about problem-solving, and have the ability to clearly communicate (written and verbally) your solutions 

• Mentoring and supporting junior staff with your knowledge and experience
