Our tech-for-good startup, BelleVie, is growing. We’re looking for people who are driven by a sense of social purpose and have values which chime with ours.

BelleVie's mission is to reinvent the future of care work. Our innovative operating model of self-managing teams of carers has been proven to work better for both those giving and receiving care. (Self-managing teams in Care is the equivalent of IT teams moving from traditional ways of working to agile).

We are building a bespoke Wellbeing OS platform to power our new ways of working. That’s where you come in. If you put the user at the heart of everything you build, have great technical skills, and want your code to have a positive social impact, then this is the role for you.

The person we want:

• We want you to not only create new features, but be the sort of person that can see opportunities and cool ways of doing things that we might have missed or didn’t know about.
• Perhaps even more importantly than that, we need you to drive these changes and take full ownership. If that sounds like something you are good at, then that’s great.
• You’ll need to communicate with a wide range of people, including Grant awarding bodies, board members and care workers; be able to understand users’ needs and aspirations and how digital tools can support them.
• We’re looking for someone who is proactive, reliable, and a good problem-solver; someone who enjoys working with people, is positive and self-motivated.
• You’ll be responsible, well organised and have great integrity.

Responsibilities

• Working collaboratively within our agile Product Team on the delivery of a bespoke digital platform for care workers, partners and the families we support.
• Designing and developing front end digital interfaces that make working life easier for our care workers, enabling them to spend more time with the people we support, providing the transparency needed in a regulated sector, and supporting BelleVie's ambitious growth goals.
• Working with our Product Owner and UX Architect to co-produce solutions with end users, understanding their needs and aspirations, constantly testing and learning, and regularly playing back to stakeholders.
• Designing technical solutions, selecting AWS products, and making decisions on when to build our own and when to use libraries.
• Working with our existing back-end developer to design and build our suite of APIs.
• Creating testable code and making testing a priority.
• Working to agile principles within the agile Product team.
• Working with our Marketing function to continuously test and learn and improve the user experience on our Wordpress company website.
• Collaborating with a variety of roles across the organisation to support BelleVie to achieve its mission.

Package

• £55k - £65k annual salary + expenses
• UK based
• You’ll work from home, as part of a friendly virtual team. When we’re allowed, there will be face-to-face quarterly meet ups for play backs, larger retrospectives and quarterly planning.
• We pride ourselves on working flexible hours - walk the dog, collect the children from school around your work. We expect you to take responsibility for your outcomes and be available to your colleagues.
• We count outcomes not hours, but expect this role to be your full time work.
