We’re looking for an experienced JavaScript Developer to join our team at Valsea Technology.

We’re a diverse team with great people from across the world. We’re now hiring people to work on-site in our cool office in Marbella, where we enjoy regular meet-ups and events.

What we have:

We have an amazing office in the sunny Marbella, free breakfast and snacks, gym and F1 simulators.

Our team consists of more than 10 nationalities, and it is made up by an hybrid colocated/distributed group of software engineers, working closely with the product team. Within that, we have a variety of cross-functional product teams that own different parts of the customer journey.

We work in an agile environment, we talk via Slack and Google Meet, our code lives in GitHub, and we deploy to AWS and Netlify.

What we require from you:

• Good command of spoken and written English - our chosen language of communication

• Extensive experience with Node.js and TypeScript

• Experience with Micro services architecture and distributed systems

• Experience with GraphQL & GRPC

• Experience with JSON RESTful APIs

• Experience with test tools and frameworks like Mocha and Jest

• Familiarity with Git and Yarn

Things you’ll do:

• Write efficient, reliable, robust, well-tested code

• Build user-friendly, responsive, and fast user interfaces

• Work independently and with high autonomy within our teams

• Contribute to specification, design, build and test phases of development

• Learn new things and hopefully help us learn new things too

• Experience with Kafka and Elasticsearch

• Experience with Docker, part of our internal tooling stack

• Experience with Cassandra
