About the job Junior Digital Frontend Developer

Our client is a global medical products and technologies company focused on therapies for managing chronic conditions, with leading market positions in advanced wound care, ostomy care, continence, critical care, and infusion devices.

Reporting to the Head of Digital Development, the Frontend Developer will play a leading role in our client's drive to provide a World-Class Customer Experience through Digital Channels. The role will be at the sharp end of delivering the Web Experience in a highly interactive and innovative form that will encourage customers to engage through digital channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing world-class customer experiences through innovative web and mobile app channels

• Ensuring websites are highly accessible and visible through design and SEO optimization.

• Ensuring our client's brand is respected and advanced through digital channels.

• Champion of Agile, working with product owners and business stakeholders to understand requirements and define user stories.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with engineers, developers, and vendors, providing coaching and motivation for team members.

Key skills and success factors

Capabilities & Competencies

• Highly competent in Frontend development, HTML, CSS & JavaScript.

• Visually creative, brand conscious, and skilled at graphic design.

• Good understanding of SEO tools and techniques.

• Good understanding of accessibility requirements and solutions.

• Competent in using agile tools Jira, Confluence & GitHub.

• Quick learner and willing to develop through training.

Experience

• Developing accessible, highly interactive Web frontends.

• Developing reusable brand-consistent content.

• Developing websites to render effectively on all devices.

• Working with React Native & Google Firebase frameworks.

• Working with a modern DXP (EPiServer/Optimizely, Sitecore, Adobe, etc.)

• Experience in Digital Healthcare solutions would be beneficial.

What success will look like in 3 months' time?

• Established within the Digital development tech-Hub in Lisbon, with investment in world-class talent.

• Assumed responsibility and handover of vendor-developed platforms and products.
