As the first employee in a start-up that is here to transform how we digitise our life and death, join an experienced leadership team as an integral part of the business. You will shape the technical landscape under the mentorship of a tenured CTO who has successfully exited his tech start-up.

This role is ideal for a highly motivated and capable developer who is excited by the opportunity to build something from the ground up and have real influence over how the business develops.

We are looking for someone who isn’t afraid to put their views across while working collaboratively; who is interested in “doing right” rather than always having to “be right.”

The technology stack is intended to be relatively standard; React frontend and AWS Lambda backend, utilising AWS best practice security due to the processing of sensitive data. The ideal candidate should have at least two years TypeScript/JavaScript experience, preferably with React and serverless (ideally AWS). Additional experience of DevOps ideal but not essential.

Main responsibilities:

We have a customer validated protoype from which you will build, iterate, test, fix and monitor the product. This role is integral to building the business, so you will be passionate about gettting a great customer outcome rather than being task focused.  As the person closest to the product,  speak up to make the product the best it can be and be a trusted technical adviser.

Salary is negotiable and based on experience and attitude. Due to the early stage of the business, compensation is a combination of salary and equity, so please only apply if this works for you.

The role is mainly remote. We like people and sometimes its great to get in a room together and brainstorm.  It would be ideal if you could occassionally be available for in person meetings/workshops etc. in the London area for this.
