Lead Node Js Developer

Location: Central Berlin or fully remote anywhere in Germany

Salary: Up to €95,000

Start Date: ASAP

Our client is looking for a skilled & passionate Node Js expert to play a pivotal role in one of their Tech Focused Teams!

What you will bring...

• 3+ years of JavaScript application design and testing experience

• Proficiency with modern JavaScript

• Knowledge of Node.js and frameworks available for it (i.e. Express etc.)

• Experience in setting up and maintaining Linux containers (e.g. Docker) as well as running them on a supportive infrastructure

• Vast experience with databases, preferably SQL with PostgreSQL, as well as NoSQL and Key-Value-Stores

• Building reliable, robust and observable applications

• Experience working in agile environments that included conducting and receiving code reviews, collaborating with team members and knowledge transfer

• You have integrated third-party APIs and SDKs and designed your own

• Knowledge of hosting multi-tenancy and multi-user applications, as well as a good understanding of authentication and authorization schemes

Responsibilities...

• Design, implement, maintain and improve the toolchain for the backend infrastructure

• Collaborate with co-workers from design, engineering, product, project and QA to implement applications for future scale

• Be an effective contributor to agile teams. Participate vigorously in SCRUM ceremonies and collaborate on effective development practices

• Mentor, grow, and collaborate with other engineers

• Write great code that is well tested and documented

• Work on a great product with technical challenges that will help you grow

• Cultivate a sense of customer empathy to continue building an exceptional product
