About you

We're looking for a growth-minded, committed and adaptable lead software engineer who is excited about an opportunity to make a difference, with the goal of growing and managing his/her own team over the next months. Joining us at this stage means that you will have a great impact from day one and, as we grow, your role within the team will grow with us.

Scope 

• Define the strategic technology stack to support our product roadmap
• Assess and develop our infrastructure setup, geared for growth
• Help us implement our current backlog, which includes web development, deployment and running of ML models, and API integrations with external services
• Manage the full lifecycle of software development and ensure timely and quality delivery
• Identify resources required to support our further roadmap and hire/build your team accordingly
• Provide confident technical leadership and support for your team as we grow

Essential skills and experience

• Hands-on full-stack software engineering and development with demonstrated experience shipping production grade software
• Full software engineering cycle: Agile/Scrum/DevOps
• Core languages: JavaScript (Node.js, React or similar) / SQL
• Cloud technology stack, particularly AWS
• API design and implementation, external service integrations
• Proactive and collaborative, with a problem-solving mindset
• Previous experience in a Senior/Lead Software Engineer role
• Hiring and managing a team, coaching and mentoring junior developers

Desired

• Coverage of infrastructure setup, front-end and back-end development, data architecture, data pipelines and external service/API integrations
• Enterprise grade information security setup
• MLOps, experience deploying and running ML models in production
