Ubie is a MedTech start-up that develops and operates products that support people involved in healthcare and those receiving healthcare with the mission of developing a healthcare guide for everyone. The company was founded in 2017, is based in the Japan, Singapore and the US, and has raised USD 74 million to date, with the latest funding (Series C) round completed in July 2022.

The underlying technology is an AI-based medical questionnaire that uses an algorithm supervised by physicians to ask questions tailored to each patient’s symptoms comprehensively. After collaborating with over 50% of the top global pharmaceutical in Japan to discover patients, our key clients in this phase in the US would be pharmaceutical companies. We are also looking to venture into the healthcare provider space.

Ubie AI Symptom Checker is an AI symptom checker app that supports consumers' access to appropriate medical care. At any time, wherever you are, you can look up the symptoms that are relevant and the appropriate places to visit. As of October 2022, more than 7 million people use it every month.

Required Skills

• Experience developing web applications in a team

• Knowledge and development experience of at least one of the following: Typescript, Ruby, Kotlin, Java

• Experience and knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS)

• Proficient English

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing and improving business-to-consumer products

• Growth hacking knowledge or experience

• Experience writing code in a fast-paced startup environment

• Operational knowledge of Google Cloud Platform / Kubernetes, etc

• Development experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Vue/Nuxt, Angular, etc

• Development experience with back-end frameworks such as Express, Ruby on Rails, Spring Boot, etc

• OSS contribution/developer community experience (GitHub, etc)

• Experience developing products for US market
