Who We Are.

Mirror helps regulated businesses onboard customers, acting as the first line of defence against fraud. We envision a world where individuals can control and present their real-world identity, using digital facts. Your digital identity should reflect the real you, in real-time, as many times as you need.

Our platform secures client onboarding through various identity and document checks.

We are excited about our current phase of growth: we’re scaling our team as we bring Mirror’s onboarding solutions to more industries and groups of people, tackling the fight against fraud.

Who We’re Looking For.

We’re looking for an analytical, empathetic and detail-oriented QA Engineer.

What you’ll be doing.

  • Improving our existing QA strategy, both manual and automated
  • Creating and maintaining an up-to-date test suite across our apps (web and native iOS and Android). This can be manual to start with.
  • The actual testing: handling pre-release regression as well as ongoing QA
  • Communicating with the Product Owner, developers and senior management to ensure everyone understands when well-tested code is in customers’ hands
  • Taking point on customer issues and feedback, communicating with the wider team to ensure customers are taken care of, and feedback has reached the relevant stakeholder
  • Working with developers to maintain and improve automated test coverage for our web app (currently JS-based in Cypress)
  • Writing automated test coverage for our native apps (currently via JEST/Appium)
  • Participating in product team ceremonies (planning, retros, squad meetings) and keeping track of bug tickets across their lifetime
  • Maintaining lightweight documentation around your work.

You should apply if

  • You have 2-5 years experience independently testing web and native apps in a growth-focused product team
  • You have automation experience (the language is not hugely important)
  • You enjoy getting to the root of problems, and working with developers, product owners and other team members to do so
  • You are obsessed with delivering customer value and beautiful experiences through the products you’re testing
  • You have proven experience effectively communicating complex technical issues with your team
  • You can prioritise effectively, understanding the need to balance between perfection, and shipping often. You’ll ask for help early with decision-making, if needed.
  • You are comfortable owning a QA function independently, including responsibility for the lifecycle of bug tickets.

We’re looking for someone who truly cares about delivering value to our customers. We want you to enjoy being a crucial part of our growing engineering and product teams, so this role will suit someone comfortable with a high degree of autonomy. You’ll have support, and this is your function to own. If you don’t have as much automation experience, but tick the other boxes, get in touch.

Recap of Requirements.

  • 2-5 years experience in a QA role, ideally a blend of automation and manual
  • Automation experience in any language, Javascript is preferred
  • Experience with testing tools like Selenium, Browserstack, TestRail to manage and deliver test suites
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks like Appium, JEST, Cypress is ideal but not essential.

We offer a competitive salary and offer 28 days holiday a year, plus the usual bank holidays.
