Senior Backend Engineer - NodeTypeScript  Hybrid  Contract - Inside IR35   We’re BCG Digital Ventures. All of us are entrepreneurs at heart, seeking to move quickly and nimbly in order to find new ways of delivering value to our customers.   We're working on a new venture, still in stealth, in the financial industry. As part of this venture,we're looking for an experienced Backend Engineer, passionate about building high-qualityproducts on a modern cloud-based microservice oriented infrastructure. You will be activelycontributing to the development of our NodeTypeScript microservices.About the role:   As a senior backend engineer, you will be:

• Joining a small product focused engineering team working directly with a small crossfunctional team of designers, product managers and venture builders.
• Leading the development of backend features in a serverless framework architecturefor our customer facing web apps.
• Collaborating closely with engineering leadership on alignment and planning
• Maintaining high standards of code quality, ensured by appropriate testing.
• Thriving in a fast-paced environment where ambiguity is the norm.
•   About you:
  • Know the ins, outs, strengths and limitations of Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Design and implementation of low latency, high availability and scalable applicationservices in Node.js.
  • Have production understanding of various data storage solutions (AWS RDSAuroraetc.)
  • Implement automated unit and E2E tests.
  • Write reusable, testable and efficient code.
  • Diagnose problematic code and implement corrective solutions.
  •   Nice to haves:
    • Experience in financial services
    • Building to a high degree of compliance and risk assessment in a highly regulated industry
    • Experience building to acceptance criteria in project issue tracking platforms such as Jira
    • You have experience developing and maintaining cloud-based technologies (Infrastructure as Code, AWS)
