Job Description

As a developer of our charting solutions, you’ll be responsible for adding new functionality, designing and documenting our API, interacting with major partners and internal dev teams. You’ll be a class-act at understanding our customers’ needs and specific product use cases, while developing appropriately elegant solutions. You’ll also contribute to our open source project: Lightweight Charts library.

Finally, you’ll work with the Customer Success and Partnerships teams to help clients get started using our libraries, while helping with their development and maintenance also.

Our tech stack: TypeScript, JavaScript, a little bit of Python and NodeJS

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing TradingView Technical Analysis Charts (the core of TradingView)

  • Designing and developing TradingView Lightweight Charts (open source)

  • Offering guidance on technical aspects of TradingView libraries

  • Documenting the API

  • Writing unit and end-to-end tests

  • Participating in technical meetings with major partners

Qualifications

  • A deep knowledge of JavaScript (without frameworks – we use pure JavaScript and build our own, high performance frameworks!)

  • A hefty understanding of both functional and object-oriented programming designs

  • Experience in TypeScript

  • The ability to deliver and communicate technical topics to a business audience, and vice versa

  • Intellectual curiosity, great problem-solving skills and passion for continuous improvement

It’ll also be an advantage if you have experience in:

  • Canvas

  • Finding memory leaks

  • Performance optimisations
