About the Role

This role will see you lead the development, maintenance and support of new and existing audience facing digital web-based products. You'll support the engineering leadership by providing development, guidance and support to colleagues.  You'll lead the analysis, design and development of complex, re-usable components, and functionality for a broad range of uses across various ABC digital properties.

About You

As an highly experienced front end developer you love the idea of helping everyday audience members to access content easily.  You possess significant technical leadership within a development team, as well as outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a strong ability to foster an open and creative approach both within and across teams.

You will have practical knowledge developing applications for the delivery of content at scale and have extensive experience in the following;

• 5-6+ years experience HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6) and modern web technologies.

• Using modern web frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, or Vue – we use React).

• At least one server-side language, preferably Node.JS.

• Experience mentoring and providing guidance to junior & mid level developers. 

• Nice to have: TypeScript, Next.js, GraphQL, Design Skills, AWS.
