As a member of Agent Connections team, you'll play a meaningful role in helping Zillow Group's home shoppers succeed by connecting them with encouraging, capable agents who will work with them to find the home of their dreams. We sit at the center of multiple strategic efforts to build and improve software systems critical to our primary source of revenue, with a focus on consumer-facing experiences.

About the role

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Craft delightful user experiences using CSS, JavaScript (React, Redux, and Next.js), and GraphQL.

• Collaborate across product teams with excellent designers, product managers, and engineers.

• Contribute to the short and long-term success of our agent partners as well as Zillow Group.

• Provide technical leadership and collaborate with partner teams to tie technical investments to business results

• Mentor junior developers, including providing both technical and cultural leadership by example

• Design and implement reliable, performant, and scalable software solutions while leading junior team members as needed

• Deliver sophisticated and intuitive front-end experiences and build scalable solutions

• Exercise agile software development practices to deliver and iterate quickly

• Lead teammates to deliver features efficiently and on time.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

Wondering if we're the right team for you? You'll excel in this team if you have:

• 5+ years experience delivering high-quality production code working with a team

• Hold a BS in Computer Science or related field; OR equivalent relevant, non-internship experience

• Front-end expertise and proven experience in front-end technologies (React, AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML, CSS) crafting, coding, and debugging front end features.

• Own the quality of your feature work through test automation and monitoring.

• Independently detect persistent problems and implement effective solutions quickly.

• Have been recognized as a technical leader on your team.

• Have a growth mentality and a desire to grow and improve your skills while guiding others.
