Paydock, a Fintech product company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer based remotely to join an energetic and global team focused on delivering on Paydock’s value proposition to market. The product opens new doors for merchants by providing a sophisticated and flexible payment solution to online merchants who want to increase profit. We work with large retailers, business platforms and large Not-For-Profits. Our teams are located internationally across the United Kingdom, Ukraine and Australia. 

In the Senior Software Engineer role, you will be involved in the development of new unique features in various parts of our large product (b2b modules, no code solutions, payment widgets, development of new and extent of existing services). 

You will have the opportunity to work with global leaders, payment service providers and technology vendors across Europe, APAC, US and other markets while being part of the next generation of payments for merchants and the industry.

Responsibilities

• Main focus on providing the highest quality, clean code

• Pay special attention to autotest coverage

• Stay up to date with current best practices

• Collaborate and help to QA and support teams

• Collaborate and take part in technical meetings with DevOps, security, architects team members

• Collaborate with Front-end developers 

• Collaborate with Back-end developers 

• Provide mentorship, training, help and support to other team members

• Participate in roadmaps, estimates, risk management

• Participate in solution design

• Take a direct part in the development of the front-end and back-end

Must Have

• Strong 5+ years of commercial experience as a Full-stack developer

• Intermediate English written/spoken

• In-depth understanding of web development

• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

• Team player

• Good organizational and time-management skills

• Great interpersonal and communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar relevant field

• Skills:

• Practical experience with TypeScript

• Superior understanding of RESTful API design principles, OOP

• Practical experience with Angular 2+, NodeJs(NestJs, express)

• Practical experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, ActiveMQ/RabbitMQ

• Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes

Nice to Have

• Practical experience with Java

• Experience working in fast growth scaleup

• Paytech experience 

• Are a self-starter (curious, motivated and resourceful), with an eagerness to learn

• Are highly organized with strong attention to detail

• Process oriented mindset and enjoys problem solving

• Experience working across multiple time zones
