We are looking for a motivated and driven Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team to help us bring algorithms and user interaction tools to the next level.

The team is embedded in the Revenue Management Domain which rests at the heart of the FlixTech organization and which is a place where the brightest minds from all over the world join forces together to work on the latest state-of-the-art Revenue Management platform.

How do we do that?

Our team ensures the data-driven optimization of prices with the aim of maximizing the revenue of our Bus and Train rides. Our core product consists of a real-time pipeline that processes large amounts of data and runs complex algorithms quickly and efficiently.

One of our biggest challenges is finding ways to combine human expertise with the power of machines in the form of user influence functionalities. Our algorithms and systems are complex and therefore finding and offering the right levers to our business experts are far from being straightforward. We are at the beginning of this journey with many unknowns to be uncovered, making this a fascinating activity and an excellent opportunity to bring in new ideas.

As a full-stack developer, you will be at the heart of our team, actively collaborating with all team members and other developers in the domain and beyond. You will be joining a supportive and international team, which works currently in hybrid mode (combination of on-site and home-office) and is based in Munich.

The team was established in 2019 and consists of two data scientists, two data engineers, and one product owner.

What Will Make Me Successful In This Role

5+ years of experience in web development
Solid programming skills in Python (backend) and TypeScript (frontend), preferably React
Good knowledge of databases, ideally PostgreSQL
Experience in end-to-end deployment
Experience working in a cross-functional Agile team
Valuing close team collaboration, responsibility sharing, and iterative development

Bonus Points

You understand CI/CD pipelines and have experience with cloud providers (AWS or similar) and containerized application delivery solutions (Docker, K8s).
Experience working with Django or Kafka
Experience working with a UX designer
Experience working with scaling technology (we have built from scratch a solution and need to make it scalable now)
