Comp: $120,000 - $160,000 + Equity (DOE)

  We are looking for a unique individual - a UI designer with true React front end experience. This is a specialist role, and one that will have real ownership and drive real impact, working at the intersection where design and visualizations meet code.

  You will play an integral role in enhancing Upside’s user experience and bridging the work of product, design and engineering. With a focus on enhancing the UX of Upside’s SaaS application by designing new UI components, improving existing ones, optimizing user flows, and creating high-fidelity visuals, all while styling and building React components.

  This role will play an integral part in shaping our product and will work alongside a development team with a wide range of talents and focus; Ethereum Solidity, EVM blockchain integrations, Solana, Rails, Node.js, React, Rust. We are looking for a dynamic creative builder that can take a strategic view, synthesize product requirements and business needs, and harness the full potential of our product and the market we are in.

  Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in a product or experiencevisual design role with a proven track record of independently leading the design of projects
  • 3+ years of experience building with React
  • Substantial experience in a startup work environment
  • Experience with Rapid Prototyping of React components using React Components like Plasmic.app, Locofy.ai, animaapp.com
  • Blockchain crypto product design experience highly valued
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in user-centered design thinking methodologies
  • Outstanding visual design aesthetics combined with usable experiences that tackle user problems
  • Ability to articulate, negotiate, and refine design solutions with cross-functional partners
  • Possess mastery and appreciation of color, space, typography, iconography, illustration, and UX laws
  • A thorough knowledge of the latest trends in UXUI, especially for SaaS andor web3 systems
  • Proven experience at data-driven decision making
  • Responsibilities
    • Define and execute upon a vision for design, and how design affects our product, our processes, and our people
    • Design responsive and accessible experiences that work across multiple platforms
    • Build components in React to be production ready
    • Become an authority on our visual design language—and then expand and refine them to extend upon our existing systems—such as our color system, navigation components, and interaction patterns.
    • Design experiences and interactions that are simple, thoughtful and elegant
