The opportunity

Are you excited by conversational AI, messaging and innovation? Would you like to join a passionate and dedicated team of professionals working at the cutting edge of customer technology? If this sounds like you, then we have a great opportunity for a Senior Developer
to work on our Chat 365 platform. 

Chat 365 is Monash’s enterprise virtual assistant and messaging service. Each year, we answer around 370,000 questions from students and connect about 40,000 students with Monash Connect live chat.

Day-to-day, you’ll be involved in solution design, coding and review, as well the maintenance of existing services and features. Beyond the day-to-day work, we have some key initiatives underway right now that you will be involved in:

• Replacing our live chat service with asynchronous messaging

• Designing solutions and new features as part of the asynchronous messaging
  implementation

• Integrating virtual assistant and messaging into our student portal and mobile app

This is a very broad role, with lots of scope to help design the product and contribute to the way we work.

You’ll likely be proficient in some of these languages and systems (or can get proficient):

• Javascript/NodeJS

• React, HTML/CSS

• API integrations (MIX, Callista, CRM)

• GCP - Cloud Functions, AppEngine, CloudRun, CloudBuild

• Python

• Basic Go knowledge

• Google Dialogflow

You’ll also be comfortable with Agile methodologies, and have experience in delivering software, managing projects, and providing software solutions.
