This is a new project inside a well-established startup : it is a gaming app where players control real live physical claw machines from their phones to win real prizes.

It’s an innovative way of merging the physical and virtual world to create an amazingly fun and addictive experience. It’s also an opportunity to work on a greenfield project which introduces unique issues by bridging hardware and software.

IT is still in pre-product market fit, developed by a small and dedicated multidisciplinary team where everyone can have a huge impact on the future of the app. We aim to become a mass-market casual game played by hundreds of millions worldwide.

We are looking for a backend developer with 10+ years of experience and additional devops knowledge to help us develop and scale this project. An exciting entrepreunarial opportunity within a profitable startup !

Tâches

In this job, you will:

• Develop and deploy new services, features and improvements, working closely with your fellow backend developers, and with our mobile developer to help us bring the gaming experience to the next level

• Continuously improve the quality and maintainability of the platform by promoting best practices and improving the existing code base architecture, testing, performance, automation and observability

• Review other developers’ code and help less experienced developers grow

• Help our support team diagnose and fix issues to ensure the stability of the app

Compétences requises

About you

• Passionate about building products

• Experienced in using one or more of our stack’s technologies, but above all curious and eager to learn

• Self-starting and entrepreneurial

• Humble and still willing to grow (no matter your seniority!)

• Collaborative, enthusiastic about teamwork, learning, and teaching

• Fluent in English and/or French

• DevOps: Kubernetes, Docker, ELK, InfluxDB, Grafana

• Backend: Python/Node.js, Rust, MongoDB, Redis, GraphQL, WebRTC

• Frontend: React (Backoffice)

• Mobile: Swift (iOS)
