About the team

Behind every well-designed product or service is a team of talented individuals who make the magic happen. Building powerful creative tools in the browser that are highly accessible is a huge technological challenge. We are an ambitious team which is constantly trying to push the boundaries of what is possible on the web.

This role will be part of our Product Growth team with focus on User Engagement. The goal of this team is to improve the user experience of new customers, increase product adoption and customer retention. This team works closely with our users to gain a deep understanding of their experience and harness the power of customer feedback.

Within the Product Growth team you will be working in small cross-functional teams, partnering closely with colleagues from Product, Design, Marketing and Analytics.

What you will do

• Use data and customer feedback to help new users find more value in VEED.

• Work with product, design, data, and marketing teams to build meaningful additions to our product that help users be more successful.

• Mentor engineers with diverse skill sets and help them grow.

• Build new features and run A/B tests for business critical projects.

• Work on video compressors, convertors, data analytics and technical architecture.

• Be an advocate for modern development practices and help us foster team autonomy.

• Use experiments and user research to iterate and learn.

Our stack

• Our frontends are written in Typescript, all using React, with a mix of other technologies like Redux and Next.

• Most of our backend micro services are also leveraging Typescript and Node, hosted on GCP.

• Our video rendering backend services are in C++ using FFmpeg.

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years of experience in building complex web applications in a fast paced environment.

• Professional experience with ReactJS. Other languages (like Node and TypeScript) are a plus.

• Experience working with product teams and leading the development of new features.

• Demonstrated ability to mentor early career software engineers.

• Strong customer focus and passion to build a great product.

• Keen interest in using data to solve customer problems and make a business impact.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
