Our team builds cross-platform desktop applications based on Electron.js and native languages such as C++, and Swift with deep system integrations, fast and reliable performance requirements. We are looking for a JavaScript desktop software engineer who will assist us with building a cross-platform desktop application that will allow our customers to share files and collaborate in a team right from their laptop and desktop computers. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects and applications focused on Enterprise File Sharing, Sync, backup software and utilize your design skills and solid development skills experience. This role is remote and will require working remotely with other team members.About the Product & CompanyFileCloud is the fastest-growing Enterprise File Share and Sync (EFSS) solution in the industry, with over one million users worldwide. We are currently expanding our team as we grow and improve FileCloud.Responsibilities:

• Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
• Support desktop distribution efforts such as application installers and delta-based automatic updates
• Develop, maintain, and support software, including application interfaces, and new features
• Develop Node.js native add-ons and cross-platform VueJs, Electron, JavaScript /Typescript modules running on Windows, macOS, and GNU/Linux
• Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and help with the advancement of tools and processes

Required Qualifications: 

• 5+ years of software development experience with large scale projects
• Strong experience with JavaScript and or typescript in NodeJS or Web
• Experience with Vuejs
• Comfortable developing software for Windows, Linux, and macOS
• Strong knowledge of Web Technologies including HTTP protocol, XML, REST APIs
• Strong understanding of server-client architecture
• Comfortable with Git version control system
• Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize tasks while working independently or as part of the team

Desired Qualifications: 

• Experience in UI development with Vue.js or any other JS framework
• Having experience and being excited about working with distributed teams
• Experience working with databases and filesystems is a plus
• Comfortable working with CI/CD systems, Jenkins
• Experience with Electron framework is a plus
• Experience with C#, Swift, Object-C and Xamarin is a plus
• Experience working on the low-level Windows, macOS, and Linux APIs is a plus
• CSS and Design skills are a plus
• Experience developing large scale cross-platform desktop applications
