We're Bonnet, a platform for electric vehicle charging. Our mission is to help fight climate change by accelerating the uptake of sustainable transport. Our aim is to revolutionise the EV charging app experience, and make electric car charging easier, more efficient and super-accessible. With Bonnet, customers don’t need a separate card and app for every charging point provider – because we’ve brought a whole load of them together in one place.

We’re now looking for a Software Engineer to join our Engineering chapter. You’ll get the opportunity to have a lot of impact, not just at Bonnet, but also for society as a whole. It’s still really early days for us, but it’s been going really well. We recently hit 50k customers, secured big partnerships with Charge Point Operators and Fleets across Europe and we. raised a $5.5m Seed round. We’re now a team of 30, with 19 different nationalities. You'll be working closely with Eliot (CTO and Co-Founder) and Simon (Head of the Web Dev team), maintaining and improving our Back-End and Front-End services to provide a fantastic charging experience for our customers.

What you'll be doing:

• As part of our engineering chapter, you’ll be involved in things like system architecture and feature design
• You’ll be involved in designing, testing and deploying new features for our driver-facing and charger-facing products
• Support new partner integrations
• Maintain and enhance services based on user feedback and analytics
• Improve the security and reliability of our system
• Enhance front-end design for our B2B web apps
• Build and deploy custom APIs for interconnected services
• Probably many other things that we aren’t even aware of. Iteration is key!

What you'll bring:

• 2-3 years professional experience as a full stack software engineer, with experience in NodeJS, ability to work with front-end projects using React
• Experience integrating third party APIs and data bases and experience using a cloud infrastructure platform (like AWS) and knowledge in building scalable cloud-based solutions
• Experience with Docker or similar containerisation solutions
• A strong desire to learn and have impact, as well as taking ownership early on
• You are passionate about product and user experience – customers are at the heart of everything you do!
• Strong creative thinking - we're all about making crazy ideas reality!
