Accedo is looking for talented Full Stack Engineers to join its growing team in Auckland or Sydney. At Accedo, you will be part of a diverse and multi-disciplined development team, gaining exposure to cutting-edge technologies and the opportunity to work with some of the largest global media brands in the industry. Working in a highly collaborative environment, you will help transform requirements and designs into high-performing feature-rich applications on various web-based platforms and devices.

Objective of role

You will primarily focus on building backend services in Python and Nodejs that power various applications for world-famous brands from the idea stage through to market launch.

• You will be vital in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale, high-availability backend services and infrastructure. From time to time, you will also work alongside other web engineers to accelerate the integration of the services we built and the web applications.

• Your roles will include dialogues with customers and requirement analysis.

Skills and Experience

• Developing back-end applications.

• Designing and developing APIs.

• Creating servers and databases for functionality.

• Developing front-end website architecture.

• Designing user interactions on web pages.

• Ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile phones.

• Ensuring responsiveness of applications.

• Working alongside graphic designers for web design features...

• Seeing through a project from conception to finished product.

• Meeting both technical and consumer needs.

• Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science.

• Strong organizational and project management skills.

• Proficiency with server-side languages such as Python, Node, and Java.

• Proficiency with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.

• Proficiency in AWS, Google Cloud and Azure, and microservices. Certification is a plus.

• Familiarity with infrastructure-related tools and technologies such as Docker, K8s, and terraform.  

• Familiarity with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Typescript, React, and Angular JS.

• Excellent verbal communication skills.

• Good problem-solving skills.

• Attention to detail.



Eligibility

Only those candidates who are New Zealand Citizen, Permanent Resident, or have a working visa for New Zealand valid for at least the next two years, will be considered for this role. Accedo will not offer any VISA support / Sponsorship for this role.
