About the role
The Nimbus team plays an essential role in the day-to-day operations at Rocket Lab by building high quality, reliable web applications that support a wide range of critical functions including mission management, launch operations, production, configuration management and more. We work closely with each other to design and develop innovative solutions to our users’ problems which in turn allows the teams we work with to be more efficient and get on with what they do best.

We are looking for someone that is a team player, has a positive attitude and a growth mindset and can join us to tackle some hard problems.

Essential skills

• Tertiary qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar.

• 1-2 years professional experience

• Team player with a positive attitude

• Typescript/Javascript or other high level language (C#, Python, etc)

• Relational database design

• REST API design

• Angular or other Frontend framework (React, Vue, etc)

• Interest in the entire software development life cycle

  
Desirable skills:

• Node.js

• Scrum

• Experience with docker/kubernetes

• Experience with linux environments

• Experience writing automated tests

• Network programming (Sockets/WebSockets)

• Folding a burrito with one hand
