ROLE SUMMARY

Rivian’s Self-Driving Cloud Team is responsible for the end-to-end implementation of cloud digital experiences across web and mobile apps. To that end, we are developing a world-class cloud services platform that will support implementing fully autonomous self-driving for Rivian vehicles. We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer who will be developing large-scale applications using the latest cloud services technologies, AWS resources, and UI frameworks. You’ll be building from the ground up with an obsession towards helping the Self-Driving team go as fast as possible and manage petabytes of sensor data.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with architects, product management, and engineers on requirements, architecture, design, and development plans

• Collaborate with stakeholders to build user-friendly, immersive, reactive applications
  Drive our new UX/UI ideas, communicate and document them

• Take the scale and performance of the applications to the next level using in-house, open-source, and cloud tools and technologies

• Ensure a high product quality bar is maintained by creating automated tests for the developed code

• Mentor junior engineers and interns as they grow their application development skills

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ yrs. of relevant industry experience

• 5+ yrs. of software engineering and web application development

• 5+ yrs. with Javascript/Typescript, and Web Frameworks (preferably React)

• Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and software design

• 5+ yrs. with CSS/SASS, cross-browser compatibility, and Design Systems

• 3+ yrs. of building large-scale enterprise-grade cloud solutions

• 3+ yrs. experience in back-end languages with Python and Golang

• 2+ yrs. of Kubernetes, Docker, GRPC, AWS technologies, CI/CD pipelines and RESTful APIS

Salary Range for California Based Applicants: [$163,000.00 - $188,000.00] (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
