About the role:

The Kong “DevX” engineering team is looking for talented Staff Software Engineer to help push our Konnect Dev Portal products to the next level. The Konnect Dev Portal is the main way our customers’ users discover, experiment, and integrate with their APIs and systems hosted on the Konnect platform. As a Staff Software Engineering member on DevX, you will be implementing scalable and performant user interfaces driving the experience of these highly-visible portals. You will help us build a powerful and extensible system that allows customers to customize and integrate these portals with the rest of their internet presence to meet any business needs. What you'll do:

• Work with a team of engineers and designers to architect and implement the vision for the family of Konnect Dev Portal products.

• Push the envelope in terms of usability, accessibility, and customization by building robust and well-tested reusable components.

• Contribute to and maintain component libraries and customization templates that will serve as the core for the Dev Portal and other UIs across the company.

• Collaborating with teams across the company on Kong open-source projects to bring the power of the Konnect platform to developers around the world.

• Mentor engineers to help lift the whole team.

• And any additional tasks required by your manager.

What you'll bring:

• 10 + years of professional experience working with frontend frameworks such as VueJs or React.

• Proficiency with Javascript, Typescript, HTML, and CSS.

• 6 + years of professional experience with SaaS web applications, authentication, role-based authorization, and microservice architectures.

• Full-stack experience with APIs and the supporting microservices is great.

• OpenAPI and CMS familiarity is a plus.

• A passion for API integration, communication and education.

Bonus Points:

• Deep experience with Typescript or Node.js

• Working knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes
