At Algomo, we are building an AI platform that helps companies of any size fully automate their customer service in 100+ languages, easily and affordably.

💾 Algomo was founded in February 2020, has a working MVP, and has recently secured its pre-seed round of $1.2M, including sponsored innovation grants from the UK and EU. We are already generating revenue and we are really close to going live.

The role

We are looking for an experienced, ambitious and skilled Tech Lead that will mostly focus on our backend services. You will be working directly with the founder(ex ML-Engineer), Data Scientist and two front-end Engineers

Leading the technical aspects of the business and product, you’ll see yourself growing alongside the business to eventually lead a larger technical team (with the prospect of becoming the CTO), but you’re understanding that, to begin with, it’ll be all hands-on.

You need to have a product mindset and be able to transform product requirements into tech deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in our product development from ideation to deployment and support
  • Own and lead the Agile rituals (stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retros) to help the team achieve its goals, provide product feedback and technical expertise
  • Work closely with the technical CEO and to plan, implement, release and maintain new features and functionality in our chatbot admin platform.
  • Leading the engineering side of our product roadmap 

Qualifications / Skills

Must-haves

  • Track-record of delivering well-engineered products with modern technologies, have developed MVPs by yourself and led IT roadmaps.
  • Good experience in Python, Node.js, Docker
  • Working experience in DevOps, managing builds, building CI/CD pipelines and deployments. 
  • Strong communication skills with a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ideally some previous startup experience, and/or a range of experiences within larger companies
  • (Obviously) working experience with Git.
  • Solid Experience with cloud infrastructure and deployment
  • Experience designing, implementing and integrating RESTful APIs

Good to have

  • Distributed computing
  • Experience with ML and NLP
  • Kubernetes

Our recruitment process

We have a 4 stage interview process:

  1. An informal 30-minute chat, to get to know each other.
  2. A take-home test that should take around 3h max
  3. A follow-up technical interview to discuss the solution with the team.
  4. A behavioural interview to see if you fit our culture
