YOUR MISSION

As Full-Stack Developer you are ​working in our web development team and are responsible for the codary web learning platform. You work closely together ​with other software developers and collaborate with the mobile app development team. With your work, you have a direct impact of getting kids excited to learn coding!

• You will be joining as a full-stack developer, to build and improve the codary web learning platform

• You will be responsible for executing parts of the technical strategy for codary, with input from the rest of the development team.

• You will have the responsibility (and agency) to shape our product and culture to teach kids how to code

• You will be working in a highly product-oriented team, and will help give input about the features we prioritize and build.

YOUR PROFILE

• Degree in computer science or a related field

• Experience in JavaScript development, especially working with modern front-end frameworks

• Good knowledge of React and respective architecture patterns

• Solid knowledge of writing tests (unit tests, integration tests etc.)

• Clean Code and experience in version control

• 2+ years of relevant working experience

• Bonus: Ability to create components from mockups

• Self-reliant, structured, transparent and goal-oriented way of working

• Fluent in German and/or English

• Based in Berlin

ABOUT US

codary is the digital education provider for programming education for young people. In weekly video calls, student coaches teach small cohorts of kids between the ages of 7 and 16 relevant programming languages in a fun and application-oriented way, for example with the computer game Minecraft. In addition to the digital face-to-face lessons, an adaptive mobile app and a web-based learning platform accompany the children in their programming journey.
Our mission is to give every child in Europe the chance to learn programming.
