Rapyd is growing our worldwide marketing team and we are seeking an accomplished Website Manager and Front-end Developer. As part of the global marketing team, you will report to the Director of Content and Development and you will work closely with the Chief Marketing Officer, Marketing Team and Creative Services to manage and continue to develop and evolve Rapyd’s global websites. 

The right candidate has a comprehensive understanding of B2B web development with experience working with technology companies on the content, design, development and implementation of websites using modern web technologies and is able to translate design concepts and wireframes into high-performance web pages.

Responsibilities

This role requires ongoing management of Rapyd’s corporate website to support marketing campaigns, sales and lead generation, SEO, and product marketing.

As a web developer, you will be responsible for:

• Managing and optimizing a library of components to facilitate page development

• Creating and managing site and process documentation

• Making content edits and updates

• Tracking key web metrics and making recommendations to improve content, design and navigation to support Rapyd’s goals

• Management of 3rd party website hosting providers and vendors

• Page development using existing components

• On-going optimization to improve site performance and loading speeds, especially for the mobile web 

• QA

• Proficiency with HTML, CSS and JavaScript

• WordPress Admin activities

• Integrations

• Creating tools that improve site interaction regardless of the browser.

• Managing software workflow.

• Following and implementing SEO best practices.

• Fixing bugs and testing for usability

• Maintaining and optimizing mobile and responsive design

Requirements

• 5 years experience leading the development and content management of a WordPress Website for a mid-sized to large organization. 

• Front-end development experience and experience evaluating implementing and managing third-party plugins and integrations.

• A strong understanding of design and development best practices for desktop and mobile.

• The web developer candidate must have demonstrable expertise with the following programming languages and technology platforms:

• CSS

• WordPress Core, API, Themes, Functions

• JavaScript & jQuery

• HTML5

• Image file formats & compression

Preferred Candidates Will Also Have Some or All of These Qualifications

• Visual Composer/WPBakery experience

• Experience using static site generator (WP2Static, Strattic, etc) & static site deploys

• Ability to use Photoshop/XD

• Google Tag Manager & Google Analytics

• Knowledge and experience working with SEO technologies such as SEMRush
